About the Job
Covenant is seeking an expert Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Engineer to architect and govern our end-to-end automation strategy. You will be responsible for building enterprise-grade IaC standards across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. This is a strategic role focused on creating a self-service, compliant, and highly scalable infrastructure through GitOps and advanced CI/CD orchestration.
Core Responsibilities & Technologies
- Strategy & Governance: Define end-to-end IaC architecture and enterprise standards using OPA/Sentinel for policy-as-code and automated compliance guardrails.
- Multi-Cloud Architecture: Design and deploy Landing Zones and resource blueprints for Azure, AWS, OCI (Oracle Alloy), and on-prem environments (VMware/OpenStack).
- Terraform Engineering: Build modular, versioned libraries using Terraform Cloud/Enterprise and Terragrunt for multi-environment orchestration and state management.
- Configuration Management: Automate OS hardening (CIS/STIG) and middleware provisioning using Ansible Automation Platform and PowerShell DSC.
- GitOps & CI/CD: Implement automated pipelines via GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI, utilizing ArgoCD/FluxCD for Kubernetes-native GitOps.
- Kubernetes Automation: Orchestrate the full lifecycle of AKS, EKS, OKE, and OpenShift clusters, including Operators, CRDs, and service mesh integrations.
- Security & Secrets: Architect secure secret injection workflows using HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, and AWS KMS.
